  • During this hybrid classroom/range course the student will be introduced to the modern semi-automatic, magazine-fed, rifle. Focusing on the more popular rifle designs, the students will learn rifle safety, nomenclature, zeroing methodology, maintenance, accessory options, and recommended associated gear and kit. Following the classroom period of instruction, students will zero their rifles on the range. This course is designed for the beginner shooter seeking a safe environment to learn the basics of their rifle.

    It is highly recommended that beginner students take this course prior to taking Rifle 101.


    This is a minimum four (4) hour course.

  • Rifle 101 is an introductory course designed for the beginner rifle shooter. This course will establish the fundamental foundations from which all subsequent TBTG courses will build upon.

    It is highly recommended that TBTG students begin here on their rifle skills training. Skills covered include proper stance, rifle presentation, ready positions, reloads, stoppages, rapid fire, and target transitions.

    This course is expected to take an estimated six (6) hours. Students are expected to have a zeroed rifle when arriving for this course.

$150 per student

  • Rifle 102 is an intermediate level course designed for novice shooters ready to advance their skills beyond basic static shooting. This course is the first step in building on the foundation set in Rifle 101. It is highly recommended that students first take Rifle 101, or a comparable course, before enrolling as a student for this course. Skills covered include turns, body transitions, alternate prone positions, shoulder transitions, handling corners, and running with a rifle.

    Due to the physical nature inherent with this course, it is advised that students who sign up be physically capable of kneeling, standing from kneeling without using their hands, lying down and standing from a lying position, and jogging. TBTG will always do what we can to accommodate those students who cannot physically perform a portion of training, but we cannot devote course time to give alternate instructions. If you require special accommodations, please notify us when applying for the course or before the course begins and you may sit out for that portion of training.

  • Rifle 103 is an advanced level course designed as the capstone for the Rifle 100 series, bringing together all the skills learned in previous courses, as well as incorporating Pistol 102 skills, culminating in a truly holistic training experience. It is highly recommended that TBTG students take both previous Rifle 100 courses, or comparable courses, as well as Pistol 102, prior to enrolling in Rifle 103. Skills covered include weapon transitions, and lateral and linear movement.

    This course is highly dynamic with physically demanding drills, thus due to the physical nature inherent with this course, it is advised that students who sign up be physically capable of kneeling and sprinting. Note that previous students with hip mobility issues have had difficulty in this course. TBTG will always do what we can to accommodate those students who cannot physically perform a portion of training, but we cannot devote course time to give alternate instructions. If you require special accommodations, please notify us when applying for the course or before the course begins and you may sit out for that portion of training.
